1. Shipping Areas
We ship to addresses within the United States. International shipping may be available upon request; please contact us at habitathorticulture@hotmail.com for rates and restrictions. We do not ship live plants to Hawaii, Alaska, or Puerto Rico due to agricultural regulations.
2. Processing Time
Orders are processed within 1-2 business days (Monday through Friday, excluding holidays). Custom orders, living wall installations, and large commercial projects may require additional processing time. You will receive an email confirmation with tracking information once your order ships.
3. Shipping Methods & Rates
We offer the following shipping options:
- Standard Shipping (5-7 business days): Calculated at checkout based on weight and destination
- Expedited Shipping (2-3 business days): Available at an additional cost
- Local Delivery (Berkeley/Oakland area): Free for orders over $150; $15 for orders under $150
- White Glove Installation Delivery: Included with full-scale living wall installation services
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and displayed before payment. Free standard shipping is available on orders over $100 within the continental United States.
4. Live Plant Shipping
Live plants are shipped with care using specialized packaging to ensure they arrive healthy. We ship plants Monday through Wednesday to avoid weekend transit delays. During extreme weather (below 40°F or above 90°F), we may delay shipping to protect plant health. You will be notified of any weather-related delays.
Our Live Arrival Guarantee covers plants that arrive damaged from transit. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs for a replacement or refund.
5. Large Items & Furniture
Planters, living wall systems, and other oversized items may ship via freight carrier. Freight delivery requires a signature and appointment scheduling. The carrier will contact you to arrange delivery. Please ensure someone is available to receive the shipment.
6. Tracking & Delivery
Once your order ships, you will receive an email with tracking information. Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, weather, natural disasters, or other circumstances beyond our control.
Risk of loss and title for items pass to you upon delivery to the carrier. For live plants, our Live Arrival Guarantee provides protection against transit damage.
7. Failed Deliveries
If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect address, unavailability, or refusal, you will be responsible for additional shipping charges to reship the order. If you choose not to reship, we will issue a refund minus original shipping costs and a 15% restocking fee.
8. Lost or Stolen Packages
If your tracking shows delivery but you have not received your package, please:
- Check with neighbors and building management
- Verify the shipping address on your order confirmation
- Contact the carrier directly with your tracking number
If the package is confirmed lost by the carrier, we will file a claim and send a replacement or issue a refund. We are not responsible for packages stolen after confirmed delivery.
9. Order Changes & Cancellations
Orders may be modified or cancelled within 24 hours of placement. After 24 hours, if the order has already been processed or shipped, standard return procedures apply. Contact us at habitathorticulture@hotmail.com for assistance.
